Trustees approve Monty Tech masonry project for mausoleum and columbaria work.

Fitchburg cemetery trustees unanimously approve Monty Tech masonry program to repair mausoleum and build columbaria path. The Zoom meeting between Chair James McNamara, Superintendent Jaquelyn Poirier, and personnel from The Spencer Group and Montachusett Technical Vocational School yielded approval for students to replace mortar joints on limestone above the mausoleum roof and lay stonework for the columbaria walkway this spring. Trustee George Mirijanian made the motion, seconded by Trustee Andrew Hawthorne.
The board also accepted the Superintendent's report documenting six full interments and one inurnment over the reporting period, and recognized the Franco-American Club of Leominster for its annual proper disposal of used flags left on gravesites.
