Fitchburg parks board approved a $180,000 Coolidge soccer field project through Massachusetts Youth Soccer. Chairman James McGrath and commissioners voted unanimously to forward the Mini Pitch to City Council.

Fitchburg parks board approved a $180,000 Coolidge soccer field project through Massachusetts Youth Soccer. Chairman James McGrath and commissioners voted unanimously to forward the Mini Pitch to City Council. The board also approved Fielder's Choice restoration of Goodrich Park's baseball field, authorized Restoration Recovery Center's Riverfront Park events in July through September, and approved the Rhythm City Rock Festival for August 29.
Director James Bunnell reported securing $140,000 in Community Development Block Grant funding for a permanent Riverfront Park stage. The board conditionally approved the Greek Festival for Caldwell Park if requested.
