FITCHBURG — License Commission approves Sunday entertainment permit with amended hours. Chair Daniel Sarefield and Members Richard Boscardin and Glenn Fossa unanimously approved a permit for Gathering of Hearts Event at Abolitionist Park on May 17, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, after applicant Diego Barahona requested the time extension from the originally submitted 5:00 PM close. The event will accommodate approximately 50 people for live acoustic and amplified music and dancing, with the requirement that all entertainment cease thirty minutes before permit expiration.
