Fitchburg License Commission approved seven new applications. Chair Daniel Sarefield and Commissioner Richard Boscardin acted on a taxi driver license for Nashaly Figueroa; entertainment permits for a Monty Tech carnival (July 15-18) and a basketball tournament (August 8); two special one-day alcohol permits for Fitchburg State athletic events operated by Compass Group NA; a food truck festival permit for Robert Ziedelis; an outdoor seating alteration for Xochimilco Mexican Cuisine; and a manager change for 99 Restaurant and Pub. All seven approvals passed unanimously.
The board continued a public hearing on a novel beer vending machine license application from Aurelove Multi Services pending the applicant's acquisition of liquor liability insurance. In a related matter, the board found insufficient evidence of violations in a summons hearing against Power Surge nightclub and voted to take no action.
