License Commission approves four applications, denies taxi driver license

FITCHBURG — License Commission approves four applications at Monday meeting. The three-member board, chaired by Daniel Sarefield, unanimously denied a taxi driver application from Gary Allain of City Cab of Fitchburg LLC but approved six special one-day wine and malt beverage licenses for St. Joseph's Church Fish Fry events on six dates from February 20th through March 27th.

The board also unanimously approved a special one-day all-alcoholic beverages license and Monday-Saturday entertainment permit for Nathalie Rivera-Castro's Valentine's Day fundraising event on February 14th at 14 Wallace Avenue, and granted a 2026 late night closing permit at 1:00 AM to Tavern in the Square. All votes were unanimous.
