License Commission approves Canvas liquor license and three permits.

License Commission · Meeting of March 2, 2026

FITCHBURG — The Fitchburg Board of License Commissioners unanimously approved a new general on-premises all alcoholic beverages liquor license for Canvas, a proposed event space at 320 Main Street operated by Derek Craig of Cof33 Corp. Chair Daniel Sarefield and Member Glenn Fossa also voted unanimously to grant Canvas three companion permits: a Monday-Saturday entertainment license, a Sunday entertainment license, and a 2 AM late-night close privilege covering all days of the week. In a separate summons hearing, the Commission voted unanimously to take no action against Boulder Cafe, ruling that the licensee's lease dispute with her property owners remains unresolved and therefore does not warrant license suspension or revocation.
