Library Trustees · Meeting of June 10, 2026
Fitchburg library board approves reallocation of consulting funds for capital campaign. The Board of Trustees voted to reallocate funds previously designated for the Financial Development Agency to Chestnut Consulting LLC as the organization dissolves; the agency's representative, Megan Donovan, is transitioning to the new firm, which will continue supporting the library's capital campaign. The Building Committee reported significant construction progress, with permanent power planned for September 1, substantial completion on October 1, furniture delivery on October 13, and library opening expected by year-end.
The campaign has received a substantial gift from a private family foundation, and small donations have raised over $10,000 for a READ shelf display.
