Fitchburg Public Library trustees unanimously elected new officers and approved the mascot name Wallace. Matthew Bruun was elected president, Cynthia Jones secretary, and Eric Mbunwe treasurer.

Fitchburg Public Library trustees unanimously elected new officers and approved the mascot name Wallace. Matthew Bruun was elected president, Cynthia Jones secretary, and Eric Mbunwe treasurer. Library Director Deb Hinkle reported the new building opening has been delayed to June due to construction delays and supply chain issues, requiring the city to loan funds for temporary space rent until the library receives 1.4 million from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
The OWL capital campaign has met its 3.5 million dollar goal.
