Library Trustees approve full-day June staff training with partner agencies.

Library Trustees · Meeting of April 8, 2026

FITCHBURG — Library Trustees vote to expand June staff training to a full day. Director Deb Hinkle proposed expanding the normally two-hour June meeting to 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., to include lunch, a construction tour, and planning sessions for the ongoing library renovation. The trustees approved unanimously.

Chair Matthew Bruun reported that the library's $3.5 million capital campaign needs less than $800,000 more to meet its goal, including multi-year pledges, and that the building renovation is on track for completion this fall.
