Fitchburg Housing Authority unanimously approves $6,375 in combined tenant organization funding and advances structural projects. Chair Adam Goodwin oversaw approval of $3,125 for C.J. Durkin Local Tenant Organization and $3,250 for Friends of the Wallace Tower Tenant Association, with both contingent on prior-year accounting.
Executive Director Douglas M. Bushman reported that mandated Massachusetts Department of Labor wage increases will require approximately $50,000 in budget adjustments effective April 1 and expressed concern about sustainability in fiscal year 2027, estimating the agency can operate under current conditions for approximately one year. The Board unanimously approved two Wallace Towers change orders for ADA sidewalk replacement and advanced the Community-Administration Project toward bidding in April, while the Canton Valley Structural Repair Project, affecting 60 percent of units, awaits state approval of revised financing structure.
