Fitchburg Housing Authority unanimously approved four capital projects at a July 7 meeting. Chair Adam Goodwin and the five-member board approved $313,700 in emergency structural repairs at Canton Valley, including new flooring and unit improvements. The board also approved $76,629.65 in change orders for Wallace Tower and pre-approved bids for Creative Placemaking and Overland Street Renovation.
Executive Director Douglas M. Bushman noted pre-approvals would allow prompt contract execution upon state approval, and the board tabled revised maintenance tenant charges. Resident Jean Roby asked about a Green Acres window replacement timeline; Construction Relocation Coordinator Jordan Hughes said residents would receive detailed advance notice.
