Fitchburg Council on Aging elects officers for coming year

FITCHBURG — The Fitchburg Council on Aging unanimously elected Todd Goodwin as Chair, Joe Byrne as Vice Chair, and Deborah Dion as Recording Secretary for the coming year. The board received updates on the Director's FY27 budget presentation to the City Council Finance Committee on May 13, with Todd Goodwin and Tom Hopkins in attendance; the budget is set to advance to the full City Council on May 20. The revised FY27 formula grant, pending state approval, will provide $16.00 per elder.
A motion to have Tom Hopkins draft a letter supporting protection of parking and sidewalks around the Senior Center passed and will be brought for board signatures at the June 11 meeting.
