Fitchburg approves $667,800 conservation grant and three police promotions

Fitchburg council unanimously approves $667,800 conservation land grant and three police promotions. The Council voted unanimously to accept USDA Forest Service funding for acquiring a conservation restriction at 71 Bennett Road, with the Mayor signing the order February 19. The Council also promoted Mei-Ling Polanco-Diaz, Colin Banahan, and Nicholas Garcia to Police Sergeant and voted 8-2 to appoint Christopher Deloge to the Planning Board, with Councilors Amy Green and Marisa Fleming opposed.
Elizabeth McNiff was unanimously re-appointed as Assistant City Clerk for a term through February 2029.
