Fitchburg Cultural Council voted to hire two consultants for communications and organizational work. Chair Eva Kelly presided over the September 24 meeting where the council voted 8 to 0 to authorize the Communications Committee to hire Stephanie Lee, an engineering analyst, and Abigail Battles, a creative writer, as consultants until joining the council. Treasurer Liz Murphy reported $7,550.65 rolling over to fiscal year 2027 and $3,678.84 in interest earned.
A community survey with 113 responses was accepted, and grant review meetings were scheduled for November 5, December 3, and December 10.
