FITCHBURG — Council on Aging approves prior minutes and welcomes new member. The board unanimously approved January 8 minutes and celebrated the appointment of Tom Hopkins and the reappointment of Debbie Dion to the Council on Aging, with Executive Director Amanda Koeck reporting that Padovano, Craigen, Hautala, and Byrne are pending reappointment by City Council. Koeck presented the FY27 Senior Center budget of $285,940, a 5.9 percent increase from FY26, with facility costs totaling $79,000 including repairs for corroding basement water pipes and ongoing roof leaks that Royal Steam and Rockwell Roofing have begun addressing.
