Council on Aging approves amended bylaws at January meeting

Fitchburg Council on Aging approves amended bylaws following late arrival of quorum. Chair Todd Goodwin called the meeting to order at 1:01 p.m. without the required two-thirds quorum; when member Anne Fitch arrived at 1:28 p.m., the board voted 8-0 to approve recommended bylaw changes. Executive Director Amanda Koeck reported that the city received a $37,000 bid from Silvio's Masonry and Landscaping for repointing bricks at the Senior Center entrance.
The council learned the city secured a grant for Elm Street pedestrian improvements, with a community outreach meeting set for February 12, 2026 at the Senior Center.
