FITCHBURG — Public Safety Committee approves parking restrictions on Summer Street and Birch Street Passway. Chair Amy Green's petition to remove one parking space at 393 Summer Street at the corner of Poplar Street passed unanimously, 5-0, as amended. Councilor Bernie Schultz's petition, presented on behalf of resident Ali Olivera of 87 Birch Street Passway in conjunction with Sergeant Liana Teague, to install no-parking signs on the north side of Birch Street Passway also passed unanimously, 5-0, as amended.
