Fitchburg Legislative Affairs Committee unanimously approved a cemetery fee increase on July 21. Cemetery Superintendent Jacquelyn R. Poirier sought and won a 5-0 vote for the first fee adjustment since 2024.
She explained the increases align the fee schedule with current expenses and are comparable to fees charged by other similar municipalities. No cemetery service fees had increased since 2024.
