Fitchburg appoints two to regional vocational school committee. The City Council and School Committee met in joint convention on January 20, appointing Michael Hurley and Deanna Tardiff to fill two expired seats on the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School District Committee for four-year terms set to expire January 2030. Both were elected in separate roll-call votes of 16-0.

Three candidates — Sandra Robichaud, Michael Hurley, and Deanna Tardiff — competed for the two positions via instant-runoff ballot.
