Fitchburg Board of Health designated a Pomeranian as a nuisance dog and ordered it confined. Residents Sally Deming and Albert Donaldson petitioned the Board to declare "Mia," a tan female Pomeranian owned by Heidy Ngofo, a dangerous or nuisance dog following multiple escape incidents. Chair Dr.
John Bogdasarian determined the dog did not meet the statutory definition of a dangerous dog because no injury had occurred, but qualified as a nuisance dog under Massachusetts law. The Board voted unanimously to confine the animal to its owner's property at all times unless leashed when off the property. The Board scheduled its next meeting for August 6 and planned to hold a public hearing on proposed Kratom regulations at that meeting.
