Airport Commission approves Gale fee pending grant review timeline

FITCHBURG — Airport Commission unanimously pre-approves Gale Associates fee for Main Apron Reconstruction Project. Chair Clayton R. Raymond, Secretary Richard Liberatore, and Commissioner Erik Tkal voted 3-0 to authorize the revised fee pending confirmation it remains within 10 percent of an independent estimate, clearing path for FAA grant application by May 1.
The Commission also unanimously lifted access bans on Ashton Parks and Kevin Cruz following December 27 incident review, authorized eviction proceedings against delinquent tenant Cornerstone LLC, approved replacement of a failing hangar door at Building 7 without tenant cost increase, and voted 3-0 to obtain appraisal quotes for unused airport land that JMAC Recovery seeks to lease. The City Finance Committee and City Council unanimously approved $1,342,903.03 in AIP Grant funds to cover itemized airport projects.
