Fitchburg Agricultural Commission unanimously elected Evan Halstead as Chair at its March meeting. Dominic Iacopino was elected Secretary, and the commission unanimously approved December 2025 minutes and voted to revise the draft annual report to the Mayor. The commission reviewed municipal forestry and carbon credit grant opportunities; Advisor Janet Morrison shared information about current opportunities available to the city.
Secretary Iacopino discussed agricultural burn permit processes and areas where confusion with the system arises.
